Chandigarh is the 1st planned modern city of india designed by the French architect. Chandigarh and the area surrounding it were consitituted as a union territory on November 1966.  It is serves as the joint capital of both Punjab and Haryana states.

Sukhna Lake: The 3 sq km manmade sukhna lake is an idyllic retreat for a communion with nature. Sukhna lake is the favourite place for the lovers as it attracts migratory birds from places Siberia and elsewhere.

Rock Garden:  The world-acclaimed Rock Garden, dotted with sculptures created with scrap materials and unusual rock formations, is chandigarh’s pride.

Rose Garden: Rose garden of Chandigarh, india is the largest of its kind in asia. Names after former president, Zakir Hussain, this beautiful garden set up in 1967 with the support of Chandigarh first commissioner.

Pinjore Garden: Pinjore’s foremost attraction in undoubtedly the 50 acre mughal gardens, renamed the yadavindra gardens after maharaja yadavindra singh, the last ruler of Patiala. Built in 17th century on similar lines of the nishant and Shalimar gardens of Kashmir, the yadavaindra gardens are said to be the handiwork of architect fidai khan, aurangzeb’s cousin and trusted lieutenant.
